We seek to bridge models at disparate length scales within the myocardium. We've developed a novel model for myocardium that fully incorporates diffusion tensor magnetic resonance image (DTMRI) data into a fully anisotropic, heterogenous material model for fibrous soft tissues. This model allows detailed capture of small-scale structural features while keeping the number of free parameters tractable. This model additionally allows patient-specific structures to be captured from patient image data and does so in a robust manner that is resistant to image noise and data singularities.
